Product information
IPE Steel Beams Galvanized (hot-dip galvanized) – S235JR (1.0038), EN 10025-2 / DIN EN 1461
Our galvanized IPE steel beams made of hot-rolled structural steel S235JR (1.0038) in accordance with EN 10025-2 are characterized by their slender profile shape and high load capacity with comparatively low self-weight. Thanks to hot-dip galvanizing to DIN EN 1461, the beams receive long-lasting corrosion protection and are ideally suited for load-bearing constructions indoors and outdoors.
Thanks to their efficient profile geometry, hot-dip galvanized IPE beams are among the most commonly used steel beams in modern steel and hall construction. They enable economical structures while maintaining high stability.
Main Features
- Material: S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025-2 – proven structural steel for load-bearing applications
- Surface: Hot-dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461 for permanent corrosion protection
- Slender profile geometry: High load capacity with reduced self-weight
- Parallel flanges: Ideal for versatile steel constructions
- Hot-rolled design: Robust and manufactured with dimensional accuracy
- Very good weldability: Remove galvanizing in the welding area beforehand
Technical Specifications
- Base material standard: EN 10025-2
- Material grade: S235JR (1.0038)
- Manufacturing process: Hot-rolled according to EN 10163
- Surface: Steel beams hot-dip galvanized according to DIN EN 1461. Zinc spangle and color shades are typical of galvanizing and do not constitute a defect.
- Edge design: Rounded inner edges
- Lengths: According to selection or custom cut
- Width and height: Profile-dependent according to IPE dimensions
- Corrosion protection: Permanent rust protection through batch galvanizing
Note: The cut ends of hot-dip galvanized steel beams are ungalvanized after cutting and must be protected against corrosion afterwards (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint). You can also purchase a suitable zinc spray for re-galvanizing directly from us: Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray. Due to production, one beam end may be partially galvanized. Galvanizing to DIN EN 1461 protects the steel long-term against rust and is specially designed for outdoor use.
Cut edges: Ungalvanized ends should be re-galvanized after cutting (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint, e. g. Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray) – especially for outdoor applications or permanent weather exposure.
Applications
Thanks to their material-efficient design, our hot-dip galvanized IPE steel beams are particularly suitable for:
- Hall and steel construction structures
- Ceiling and roof supporting structures
- Girders and frame constructions
- Commercial and industrial buildings
- Renovations and extensions
- Outdoor constructions with permanent weather exposure
Why galvanized IPE steel beams?
Galvanized IPE beams offer an optimal combination of load capacity, weight efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The slender design reduces material usage and self-weight, while hot-dip galvanizing to DIN EN 1461 ensures long-term protection against corrosion. This makes these steel beams ideal for durable, low-maintenance constructions indoors and outdoors.
