Who can order in the shop?

metalxact.com is aimed at private customers as well as medium-sized companies, craft businesses, and educational institutions.

Do I have to register with metalxact.com beforehand?

No, you can place an order as a guest in our online shop. However, we need your data to process the order correctly. For regular orders, we recommend registering with us. This way, you can have an overview of all your orders. Registration is, of course, free and without any obligations.

Forgot your password?

If you have forgotten your password, click on "Forgot password" during login. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to set a new password.

How can I change my user data / delivery address?

You can change your user data under "My Account." Simply click on "edit" under "Addresses" and enter your new data.

Which products can I buy?

In the metalxact shop, you can choose from a wide range of materials, shapes, and accessories for industry and crafts. This includes pipes, sheets, profiles, fences & gates, all-glass railings, and glass canopy systems made from materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, gunmetal, bronze, and copper. You will also find accessories like flanges, various press fittings, end caps, glass holders, railing posts, and much more at metalxact.com.

Is custom cutting possible?

You can enter your required length in the "Specify size" field in the product selection.

Are miter cuts possible?

Yes, up to 45°! We require a drawing for this. Please request the price for miter cuts in advance. Please note that this may also delay the delivery time.

What are the cutting and dimension tolerances?

Our standard cutting tolerance is +-2 mm. The tightest possible length tolerance is +-1 mm, which may be possible upon prior agreement.
For the following cutting lengths, we have a length tolerance of +-4 mm:
500 mm, 1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, or 2000 mm.
Dimension tolerances, e.g., for wall thickness, according to the valid European standards.

Can the pipes be telescoped or pushed into each other?

Due to wall thickness tolerances, which can vary both positively and negatively, we recommend allowing some "play." A round tube 30 x 2 mm will not necessarily fit into a round tube 40 x 5 mm (theoretical 30 mm inside diameter).

Deburring of the products?

The cut edges are untreated and not deburred.

Do you also offer bending work?

Yes. You can use our sheet configurator to create your parts online live.

Do you also carry out assembly work?

No. However, we are happy to assist you in finding a specialist company for the assembly of your railing, etc., in the Münsterland area.

Surface condition of aluminum

The surface of natural aluminum is raw, so scratches, grooves, and storage marks cannot be avoided and are common in the trade and not a reason for complaint.
Our anodized aluminum is pre-treated according to E6 and anodized according to the standard process EV1, creating a silver-colored natural-tone anodized layer.
Additionally, we can powder-coat the aluminum. This process is characterized by good adhesion, elasticity, weather resistance, lightfastness, and chalk resistance. The powder coating is available in all RAL, NCS, or special colors. Special tones according to customer specifications can also be offered as samples. The paint layer thickness is 60 µm with a tolerance of +-10 µm.

How do I know if my order has been received?

After you have submitted your order, you will immediately receive an automated order confirmation by email to the email address you provided. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email. You can also view the order status at any time in your customer account.

Is it possible to change the order?

Yes. As long as your order has not yet been processed, adjustments are still possible afterwards.

Is it possible to place an order on-site?

Yes. Please note that we charge an additional fee of 5 EUR for orders placed on-site.

Can I order by phone?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to place an order by phone. However, our customer service will be happy to assist you if you have any questions regarding the online ordering process.

Your orders are stored in your customer account. Here you can find all the details of your order and check the current status at any time.

How is the price calculated?

Depending on the product, billing is per meter, per kilogram, per piece, or per liter. Cutting/production and shipping costs will be displayed in the shopping cart.

Where is the total price displayed?

The total price is shown in the shopping cart.

Minimum order quantity?

There are no minimum order quantities or minimum order values at metalxact.com.

Are quantity discounts available?

Quantity discounts are possible for larger orders. If you require a larger quantity, please contact us.

Payment


How can I pay?

At metalxact.com you can pay via Paypal, VISA, Mastercard, Sofort bank transfer, and, upon prior agreement, possibly by invoice.

Is "purchase on account" possible for public institutions?

Yes. In the shopping cart, after selecting "Checkout," you can choose the payment method "Purchase on account" under "Payment and Shipping."

Did not receive an invoice?

Our invoices are automatically sent to you via email within 2 days. Sometimes the invoices can end up in your spam folder. If this is not the case, please contact us.

Is VAT refund possible for own export?

Yes, provided the required export certificate is received by us no later than 3 weeks after the invoice date.


Deliveries


Is self-collection of goods possible?

Yes. In the shopping cart, after selecting "Checkout," you can choose the shipping method "Self-collection" under "Payment and Shipping." As soon as the goods are ready for collection, you will receive a notification email. Please ensure that you collect the goods with a suitable vehicle.

When can the goods be picked up?

Self-collectors can pick up their goods (after ordering in the shop) during opening hours: Mon. - Thu.: 08:00 – 14:00 and Friday 08:00 - 13:00.

Can I track the shipment online?

Yes. Please note that packages are not scanned directly at collection but only at the depot of the shipping service provider. It can take up to 3 days for the shipment tracking status to update.

Do you deliver to parcel stations?

Unfortunately, deliveries to parcel stations are not possible.

How much are the shipping costs?

Shipping costs depend on the selected product. Depending on size and weight, your order will be shipped by parcel service or freight forwarding. No shipping costs apply for self-collectors. You will find a detailed list [here].

Is international shipping possible?

Currently, shipping is only possible within the European Union.

What should I consider for freight forwarding deliveries?

Our items that cannot be shipped by parcel service due to their size or weight are delivered by freight forwarding to the curbside.

Delivery process

The freight forwarder will contact you by phone to arrange a delivery appointment. We will pass your provided telephone number to the freight forwarder. If you cannot be reached at this number, please contact us immediately.

Please also note that you must be personally present at the delivery address when the goods are delivered. You must confirm the delivery of the goods in writing and assist the freight forwarder with unloading the goods to the curbside. Therefore, you must be physically able to lift a weight of up to 30 kilograms.

Please note that a specific delivery time cannot be agreed upon. The freight forwarder will arrange a delivery on a preferred day (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays) within a time window of either 8 am - 1 pm or 1 pm - 6 pm. Your presence is required throughout the entire time window. A more precise delivery time cannot be specified.

What does "curbside delivery" mean?

Delivery is made by truck to the nearest public curbside of the delivery address unless otherwise agreed. It is up to the discretion of the freight forwarder whether the goods will be placed closer to the entrance. Usually, this is not a problem.

Delivery cannot be made if:
The delivery address is located in or only accessible via a traffic-calmed area ("play street"), and/or The delivery address is located in or only accessible via a street prohibited for vehicles over 40 tons, and/or The delivery address is located in a street narrower than 3.25 meters or narrowed below 3.25 meters by obstacles, and/or The delivery address is in a cul-de-sac.

If any of these conditions apply or you are unsure, please contact our customer service by phone or email before ordering.

The delivery could not be made?

If the goods cannot be delivered, additional costs for a second delivery attempt may arise, which could be charged to you. We ask for your understanding.

Transport damage?

Please inspect the goods for obvious transport damages at the time of delivery and have them confirmed in writing by the driver.
