Product information
Copper sheet 0.60 mm – Cu-DHP / CW024A, semi-hard R240, cut to size
The 0.60 mm Cu-DHP / CW024A copper sheet is a cold-rolled semi-hard product particularly suitable for light cladding, edging and delicate bent parts. This thickness provides slightly more stability than 0.5 mm while retaining high formability. Cu-DHP is characterised by very good cold formability and good suitability for soldering and welding.
Technical specifications
- DIN alloy: SF-Cu
- Euronorm: CW024A
- EN alloy: Cu-DHP
- Thickness: 0.60 mm
- Condition: R240 / semi-hard
- Standard: EN 1652
- Surface: cold rolled, unfinished, without protective film
- Machinability: not suitable
- Hot forming: good
- Cold forming: very good
- Mechanical polishing: good
- Electroplating: very good
- Hot-dip galvanizing: very good
- Electrical conductivity: lower than Cu-ETP and Cu-OF; not the preferred copper grade for applications requiring maximum electrical conductivity
- Thermal conductivity: good, but below highly conductive copper grades such as Cu-ETP and Cu-OF
Why choose Cu-DHP / CW024A? Cu-DHP is phosphorus-deoxidised copper and is primarily selected where very good cold formability and good soldering and welding suitability are important. Due to its phosphorus content, its electrical conductivity is lower than that of Cu-ETP and Cu-OF. For components where the highest possible electrical conductivity is decisive, Cu-ETP / CW004A or Cu-OF / CW008A is generally the more suitable material choice.
Material properties

Applications for 0.60 mm Cu-DHP copper sheet
- light cladding, edging and delicate bent parts
- metal and equipment construction
- interior construction and decorative metalwork
- bent, formed and cladding parts
- roofing, building and craft applications depending on design
Surface information
The surface is supplied without protective film. Copper naturally develops an oxide or patina layer over time under atmospheric exposure, which can change its colour and appearance. Production, storage, handling and transport marks such as light scratches or discolouration may occur on unfilmed copper and are typical of the material.
Cutting and processing information
Sawn or cut-to-size edges are unfinished and not deburred. Cut edges may be sharp and should be finished according to the intended application.
For 0.60 mm thickness, the respective balance between formability and inherent rigidity should be considered. Long or narrow cuts may show slight stresses, deformation or bowing due to material and production characteristics.
