DC01 Steel Perforated Sheet – Bright / Untreated according to EN 10130
The DC01 steel perforated sheet is a cold-rolled flat product with a regularly arranged perforation pattern. The combination of good workability, stability and a defined perforation pattern makes the sheet suitable for numerous technical, structural and decorative applications.
DC01 is a soft, unalloyed steel intended for cold forming. The surface is bright and untreated and has no additional corrosion protection. The steel perforated sheet is therefore particularly suitable for indoor applications and dry environments.

Perforation and Design
The regular perforation reduces the closed surface area of the sheet and, depending on the perforation pattern, allows air, light, liquids or smaller materials to pass through. This makes steel perforated sheets suitable for both technical functions and decorative design elements.
Depending on the selected version, different perforation patterns, hole diameters and hole spacing may be available. The actual design depends on the variant selected in the configurator.
Note: Cutting may intersect the perforation pattern at the outer edges. As a result, open or partially cut holes may occur along the edges of the cut sheet. A continuous closed, unperforated border cannot generally be guaranteed for custom-cut sheets.

Corrosion Protection and Surface Treatment
DC01 is an uncoated steel and is not corrosion-resistant. Contact with moisture or increased humidity may cause flash rust or corrosion to develop within a short period of time. Suitable surface treatment is therefore required for permanent outdoor use or use in damp environments.
Depending on the application, the perforated sheet can, for example, be painted or powder-coated. A suitable coating can be used to modify the visual appearance of the surface and, where applicable, provide protection against environmental influences.
Information on Surface and Processing
Bright DC01 is a steel semi-finished product intended for technical applications. Minor scratches, abrasion marks, rolling marks, discolouration or other typical surface characteristics may therefore occur as a result of manufacturing, storage and transport. A flawless decorative visible surface cannot be assumed for untreated steel.
The punching or perforating process may result in minor burrs or manufacturing-related deformation around the hole edges. The sheet may also undergo slight deformation or exhibit minor waviness as a result of the perforation process.
Cut edges may be sharp and not deburred. Appropriate protective measures must therefore be taken during processing and installation.

Tolerances and Perforation Pattern
Dimensional, shape and thickness tolerances as well as manufacturing-related deviations in the perforation pattern are governed by DIN 24041. The perforation process may cause slight waviness or deformation of the sheet, particularly in larger or thinner cut pieces.
For custom-cut perforated sheets, the position of the perforation in relation to the cut edge depends on the existing perforation grid. An exactly identical distance between the perforations and all four edges therefore cannot generally be guaranteed.
