Unpolished:
Thanks to its optimum weather resistance, unpolished stainless steel plain sheet is mainly used outdoors as a wall covering, in façade construction or as splash protection. It is also frequently used as edge protection or impact protection to protect door leaves from being kicked. It is also used as a heat conducting sheet, as a reflector or reflector for lighting installations. Due to its high chemical resistance to water and diluted acids, this steel is also in great demand in the food and beverage industry. However, it is not suitable for use in swimming pools. Contact with seawater should also be avoided, as chloride ions attack the material.
Polished:
Polished stainless steel plain sheet with the alloy 1.4301, also known as V2A for short, is the most commonly used stainless chromium-nickel steel. Due to its attractive appearance, it is often used in interior design, for example to clad columns, as wall panelling or as decorative trim. However, the visually appealing yet hygienic and easy-care surface of the sheet is also appreciated in the food industry, in catering, in commercial kitchens, in counter construction, in sanitary facilities, in public buildings and in hospitals. Thanks to its optimum weather resistance, it is also a frequently used material outdoors, for example as roof panelling or drip protection. Only use in swimming pools or contact with seawater should be avoided, as the chloride ions present attack the material.
