Under suitable weather conditions, the weathering steel develops its characteristic rust patina and is particularly suitable for cladding, privacy screens, planters, garden features and custom metal constructions.

Patina and surface information
The weathering steel is supplied raw and not fully pre-weathered. The characteristic rust patina develops through alternating periods of moisture and drying. Colour, texture and the speed of patina formation may vary.
During patina formation, rust-coloured water may run off and stain adjacent surfaces such as natural stone, concrete, paving or façades. A completely uniform rust surface cannot be guaranteed.
Cut edges may be unfinished and not deburred. Mill scale, oxidation marks, colour variations and minor scratches or storage marks are typical of the untreated surface.
