Aluminium profiles made to measure

Aluminium profiles, also known as aluminium profiles, are industrially manufactured semi-finished products made of aluminium, which are available in a wide variety of shapes - such as flat, angled, round or square profiles. They are used as a basis for construction in numerous areas, from machine and plant engineering to construction and interior design. Thanks to their precise geometries, aluminium profiles can be combined, connected and processed in a variety of ways - whether for load-bearing structures, frame systems or decorative applications.
Metalxact provides you with aluminium profiles made to measure. Each profile impresses with dimensionally accurate cross-sections, clean surfaces and high repeat accuracy - perfect for series production or modular systems.
Whether standard profiles or custom-made products - Metalxact supplies aluminium profiles in various shapes, alloys and surface finishes, individually tailored to your project.

What are aluminium profiles used for?

Thanks to their low weight, high stability and excellent corrosion resistance, aluminium profiles are indispensable in many sectors. They are used in industry, trade, architecture and DIY projects alike: as construction frames, in furniture or exhibition stand construction, in façade systems, for railings, photovoltaic frames or customised design solutions.

Classic profile shapes

All standard aluminium profiles are available in the Metalxact range:

  • Flat profiles: versatile for covers, frames or constructions.
  • Angle profiles (L-profiles): ideal for corner joints, edge finishes or reinforcements.
  • U-profiles: frequently used as guide rails, panelling or edge protection.
  • T-profiles: stable connecting elements for modular superstructures and constructions.
  • Z-profiles: tried and tested in façade construction, for covers and support structures.
  • C and H profiles: for connecting or as support profiles for more complex structures.
  • Round, square and rectangular tubes: universally applicable for railings, frames, racks or design objects

All aluminium profiles are available in various wall thicknesses, cross-sections and lengths and can be cut to size

Special profiles

In addition to standard shapes, Metalxact also offers special customised profiles for various applications:
  • Mechanical engineering profiles/groove profiles: System profiles with standardised grooves for stable frames, racks and constructions in industrial and plant engineering.
  • Shower profiles: Aluminium profiles for glass frames, shower cubicles and partition walls - corrosion-resistant, decorative and easy to process.
  • Solar profiles: Mounting and rail profiles for photovoltaic systems - weather-resistant, resilient and available in lengths of up to 7 metres.

Areas of use & areas of application for aluminium profiles

  • Industry & mechanical engineering: frames, racks, protective enclosures, workstations, plant construction.
  • Building & construction: window frames, façades, railings, substructures, panelling.
  • Furniture & interior design: room dividers, shower cubicles, furniture constructions, design and architectural projects.
  • DIY & crafts: shelves, workbenches, 3D printer frames, creative self-builds.
  • Special applications: Photovoltaic mounting systems, exhibition stand construction, shelving systems, shop fitting and special constructions.

Practice & processing tips for aluminium profiles

  • Cutting: Aluminium profiles can be cut precisely using metal or chop saws with a fine-toothed blade. Deburring after sawing is recommended for clean edges.
  • Assembly: Use suitable connection technology, screws and brackets; ensure exact alignment and right-angled connections of the aluminium profiles.
  • Care & maintenance: Simply clean anodised or coated surfaces with a mild detergent; do not use abrasive cleaners to preserve the protective coating
