Product information
HEA Steel Beams Galvanized (hot-dip galvanized) – S235JR (1.0038), EN 10025-2 / DIN EN 1461
Our high-quality galvanized HEA steel beams made of hot-rolled structural steel S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025-2 are hot-dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461 and provide particularly durable corrosion protection for indoor and outdoor applications. Batch galvanizing permanently protects the steel beam against rust and makes it ideal for demanding constructions in steel construction, building construction, hall construction as well as load-bearing structures used outdoors.
The HEA profile series combines high load-bearing capacity with a comparatively economical design. As a result, hot-dip galvanized HEA beams are an optimal solution for load-bearing structures where stability, material efficiency and long-lasting rust protection are equally important.
Technical Specifications – Hot-Dip Galvanized HEA Steel Beams
- Material: S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025-2 – proven structural steel for load-bearing applications
- Manufacturing process: Hot-rolled according to EN 10163
- Surface: Hot-dip galvanized / galvanized steel beam according to DIN EN 1461 – durable corrosion protection through batch galvanizing. Zinc spangle and color shades are typical of galvanizing and do not constitute a defect.
- Edge design: Rounded inner edges
- Lengths: According to selection or custom cut
- Wide flanges: Ideal for columns and beam constructions
- Corrosion protection: Permanent rust protection through hot-dip galvanizing
- Weldability: Very good (remove galvanizing in the welding area before welding)
Note: The cut ends of hot-dip galvanized steel beams are ungalvanized after cutting and must be protected against corrosion afterwards (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint). You can also purchase a suitable zinc spray for re-galvanizing directly from us: Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray. Due to production, one beam end may be partially galvanized. Galvanizing to DIN EN 1461 provides long-term protection against rust and is specially designed for outdoor use.
Cut edges: Ungalvanized ends should be re-galvanized after cutting (e. g. zinc spray or zinc paint) – especially for outdoor applications or permanent weather exposure.
Applications – Galvanized HEA Beams for Indoor and Outdoor Use
Thanks to their versatile properties, our galvanized HEA steel beams are particularly suitable for:
- Load-bearing structures in building and steel construction
- Halls and commercial buildings
- Substructures and frame constructions
- Renovation and extension measures
- Mechanical engineering and technical constructions
- Outdoor constructions with permanent weather exposure
Why galvanized HEA steel beams?
Hot-dip galvanized HEA beams are considered an economical standard solution in steel construction. They combine high stability with efficient material usage and therefore enable load-bearing constructions with reduced dead weight. Galvanizing to DIN EN 1461 also ensures long-term protection against corrosion and minimizes maintenance requirements – especially for outdoor applications.
