Product information
Hot-dip galvanized rounded-edge steel angles – S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10056 / EN 10025 / DIN EN ISO 1461
This hot-dip galvanized rounded-edge steel angle is an equal-leg angle section made of structural steel S235JR (1.0038), manufactured by hot rolling in accordance with EN 10056 and meeting the requirements of EN 10025. The sections feature typically rounded inner and outer edges and, after production, are provided with a metallic zinc coating by batch galvanizing (piece galvanizing) according to DIN EN ISO 1461. The hot-rolling process ensures a homogeneous material structure with material-typical mechanical properties.
Main features
- Material: S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025
- Profile standard: EN 10056
- Manufacturing: hot-rolled non-alloy structural steel
- Profile shape: steel angle, rounded inside edges
- Surface: hot-dip galvanized inside and outside according to DIN EN ISO 1461
Note: Typical surface characteristics may occur on hot-rolled angle sections as well as as a result of the galvanizing process due to manufacturing. These include residual mill scale, zinc runs, zinc spikes, ash residues or slight colour differences on the zinc surface. These are process-related and do not constitute a quality defect provided the requirements of the applicable standards are met. Saw-cut edges are unfinished and not deburred; cut surfaces may subsequently be ungalvanized and should be protected against corrosion if required. You can also purchase a suitable zinc spray for regalvanizing directly from us: Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray.
Material properties:
- high dimensional stability due to the hot-rolling process
- material-typical strength properties
- good weldability before galvanizing
- suitable for load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures
Technical specifications

Dimensional, shape and weight tolerances are governed by EN 10056. The galvanizing process may cause slight dimensional deviations within the permissible standard tolerances. The zinc coating serves as corrosion protection for indoor and outdoor applications.
Applications
- Steel and metal constructions
- Frame and load-bearing structures
- Mechanical and plant engineering
- general structural applications
Delivery is as a hot-rolled and hot-dip galvanized angle section in accordance with EN 10056 and DIN EN ISO 1461. Manufacturing-related deviations within the permissible standard tolerances are possible.
