Galvanized steel threaded pipe – EN 10255 / EN 10240-A1
These galvanized steel threaded pipes are longitudinally welded steel tubes according to EN 10255 and are supplied with a corrosion protection coating in accordance with EN 10240-A1. The pipes are made of non-alloy steel and are designed for threaded connections. The galvanizing serves as a protective coating to improve corrosion resistance and meets the normative requirements for coated steel pipes used in installation and piping applications.

Note: Due to the production process, the pipes have a longitudinal weld seam, which does not constitute a quality defect. Coating-related variations in appearance, slight color differences or transport-related marks may occur. Depending on the version, threads may be factory-cut or intended for on-site machining. Sawed or cut pipe ends are unfinished and not deburred. Cut surfaces may be uncoated after cutting and should be protected against corrosion afterwards if required. A suitable zinc spray for re-galvanizing is also available: Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray.

Dimensional and weight tolerances are in accordance with EN 10255. The galvanized surface provides improved corrosion protection, but may be locally affected by machining or cutting. For areas permanently exposed to corrosion, additional post-treatment may be required.
