Product information

HEM Steel Beams Galvanized (hot-dip galvanized) – S235JR (1.0038), EN 10025-2 / DIN EN ISO 1461

Our galvanized HEM steel beams made of hot-rolled structural steel S235JR (1.0038) in accordance with EN 10025-2 stand for maximum load capacity and the highest stability in steel construction. Thanks to their particularly massive profile geometry, hot-dip galvanized HEM beams are especially suitable for structures with extreme structural requirements.

Hot-dip galvanizing to DIN EN ISO 1461 provides permanently reliable corrosion protection and enables long-term use even under demanding weather conditions outdoors as well as in industrial environments.

Main Features

  • Material: S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025-2 – proven structural steel for heavily loaded constructions
  • Surface: Hot-dip galvanized to DIN EN ISO 1461 for permanent rust protection
  • Extremely massive design: Maximum load capacity for the highest load requirements
  • Very thick webs and flanges: Ideal for heavy-duty and large-scale structures
  • Hot-rolled design: High robustness and dimensional accuracy
  • Very good weldability: Remove galvanizing in the welding area beforehand

Technical Specifications

  • Base material standard: EN 10025-2
  • Material grade: S235JR (1.0038)
  • Manufacturing process: Hot-rolled according to EN 10163
  • Surface: Steel beams hot-dip galvanized according to DIN EN ISO 1461. Zinc spangle and color shades are typical of galvanizing and do not constitute a defect.
  • Edge design: Rounded inner edges
  • Lengths: According to selection or custom cut
  • Width and height: Profile-dependent according to HEM dimensions
  • Corrosion protection: Permanent rust protection through batch galvanizing

Note: The cut ends of hot-dip galvanized steel beams are ungalvanized after cutting and must be protected against corrosion afterwards (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint). You can also purchase a suitable zinc spray for re-galvanizing directly from us: Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray. Due to production, one beam end may be partially galvanized. Galvanizing to DIN EN ISO 1461 protects the steel long-term against rust and is specially designed for outdoor use.

Cut edges: Ungalvanized ends should be re-galvanized after cutting (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint, e. g. Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray) – especially for outdoor applications or permanent weather exposure.

Applications

Due to their extremely high load capacity, our hot-dip galvanized HEM steel beams are particularly suitable for:

  • Industrial buildings with the highest structural requirements
  • Heavy-duty structures and large-scale constructions
  • Columns and main beams in hall and plant construction
  • Bridge and infrastructure projects
  • Machine foundations and industrial plants
  • Outdoor constructions with permanent weather exposure

Why galvanized HEM steel beams?

Galvanized HEM beams are used wherever maximum load absorption and the highest stability reserves are required. The particularly massive profile shape enables extreme load capacities with minimal deflection. Combined with hot-dip galvanizing to DIN EN ISO 1461, this results in a low-maintenance steel beam with long-term corrosion protection – ideal for permanently stressed structures.

Order now and benefit from:

  • Maximum load capacity: HEM profile for extreme loads
  • Permanent rust protection: Hot-dip galvanized to DIN EN ISO 1461
  • Custom cuts: Accurate lengths as required
  • Fast delivery: Efficient shipping processing
  • Expert advice: Support for demanding construction projects
