UNP Steel Beams Galvanized (hot-dip galvanized) – S235JR (1.0038), EN 10025-2 / DIN EN ISO 1461
Note: The cut ends of hot-dip galvanized steel beams are ungalvanized after cutting and must be protected against corrosion afterwards (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint). You can also purchase a suitable zinc spray for re-galvanizing directly from us: Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray. Due to production, one beam end may be partially galvanized. Galvanizing to DIN EN ISO 1461 protects the steel long-term against rust and is specially designed for outdoor use.
Cut edges: Ungalvanized ends should be re-galvanized after cutting (e. g. with zinc spray or zinc paint, e. g. Zinc spray 400 ml – repair and corrosion protection spray) – especially for outdoor applications or permanent weather exposure.
The open U-profile shape allows easy installation and flexible use in frame constructions, reinforcements and load-bearing substructures. Hot-dip galvanized UNP beams are therefore often used wherever stable yet installation-friendly steel profiles are required.
