Product information

Steel flat bar bright cold drawn – S235JRC+C (1.0122) according to EN 10277

This bright cold-drawn steel flat bar is a precision-drawn flat section made of non-alloy quality steel S235JRC+C (1.0122), manufactured in accordance with EN 10277. The cold drawing process provides precise dimensional accuracy, a smooth surface and improved mechanical properties compared to hot-rolled steel. The +C delivery condition (cold drawn) ensures high dimensional stability and is particularly suitable for applications requiring increased precision and further processing.

Main features

  • Material: S235JRC+C (1.0122) according to EN 10277
  • Profile standard: bright steel according to EN 10277
  • Manufacturing: cold drawn (bright steel)
  • Profile shape: flat bar / flat section
  • Surface: bright, smooth (cold drawn)

Note: Cold-drawn flat steel features a technically bright surface with typical drawing marks. Slight oil residues or minimal surface markings may occur due to the manufacturing process and do not constitute a defect. Saw-cut edges are untreated and not deburred. Due to the bright surface, additional surface treatment is recommended for outdoor use to ensure corrosion protection.

Material properties:

  • high dimensional accuracy due to cold drawing
  • smooth and uniform surface
  • very good machinability
  • good weldability for structural applications

Technical specifications

  • Material grade: S235JRC+C (1.0122), cold drawn
  • Standards: EN 10277 (cold drawn)
  • Manufacturing process: cold drawn, h11
  • Surface structure: smooth (cold drawn)
  • Excellent machinability: ideal for precision parts and mechanical engineering
  • Excellent weldability: suitable for demanding constructions

Dimensional and shape tolerances comply with EN 10277 and tolerance class h11. The cold drawing process ensures tight tolerances and improved surface quality. The material is supplied untreated and may corrode without additional coating.

Applications

  • mechanical and fixture engineering
  • precision parts and mechanical components
  • steel and metal constructions with high dimensional requirements
  • general manufacturing and machining applications

Delivery is made as cold-drawn bright steel according to EN 10277 in delivery condition +C. Manufacturing-related deviations within permissible tolerances are possible.
