stainless steel flat (polished) 20 x 3 mm V2A (1.4301) 50 x 30 mm S235JR (1.0038)
Product information
Steel flat bar black – S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025 / EN 10058
This black steel flat bar is a hot-rolled flat section made of non-alloy structural steel S235JR (1.0038), manufactured in accordance with EN 10025 and dimensional tolerances according to EN 10058. The hot rolling process creates a robust, technically typical surface with mill scale, making it particularly suitable for structural applications in steel and metal construction. The material offers good mechanical properties and high cost efficiency for a wide range of applications.
Main features
- Material: S235JR (1.0038) according to EN 10025
- Profile standard: flat steel according to EN 10058
- Manufacturing: hot-rolled non-alloy structural steel
- Profile shape: flat bar / flat section
- Surface: black, hot rolled with mill scale
Note: Hot-rolled flat steel shows typical manufacturing-related surface characteristics such as mill scale, scale residues, minor scratches or colour variations. These are process-related and do not constitute a defect. Saw-cut edges are untreated and not deburred. For outdoor applications, subsequent surface treatment such as painting, galvanizing or coating is recommended for corrosion protection.
Material properties:
- high dimensional stability due to hot rolling
- good mechanical strength properties
- excellent weldability
- economical construction material for versatile applications
Technical specifications
- Material grade: S235JR (1.0038), hot rolled
- Standards: EN 10025 / EN 10058 (hot rolled)
- Manufacturing process: hot rolled
- Surface structure: robust (hot rolled)
- Versatile applications: ideal for load-bearing structures, metal connections and mechanical engineering
- Excellent weldability: suitable for a wide range of construction requirements
Dimensional, shape and weight tolerances comply with EN 10058. Manufacturing-related deviations within permissible tolerances are possible. The hot-rolled surface is untreated and may develop corrosion during storage or outdoor use unless additional protective coating is applied.
Applications
- steel and metal constructions
- frames and connection elements
- mechanical and plant engineering
- general metalworking and fabrication
Delivery is made as hot-rolled flat steel according to EN 10025 and EN 10058. Manufacturing-related deviations within permissible tolerances are possible.
